  • 4 large leeks
  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese or any cheese you prefer

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • Fresh thyme for garnish

  • Prep Your Leeks: First things first, wash those leeks thoroughly. Chop off the dark green parts and slice the white and light green sections into thin rounds.
  • Cook the Leeks: Heat up your butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the leeks and cook until they’re soft and slightly golden, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Add the Cream: Pour in the heavy cream and stir it in. Let it simmer gently for a few minutes until it thickens.
